Max Payne

I started to believe that one can’t expecting too much from a movie based on a game. In The Name Of The King, is definetly a disapointment. I guess Max Payne is another one so close to the upper grade; almost ok.

I blame Max Wahlberg as the biggest magnet for me to watch it. His latest hits if not achieved excellent point from critic, at least entertaining. Most of them are a mixture of action, comedy and a bit of drama. One thing for sure, as a killer hero,he always make sure that the movie explain plainly about the motives. It surprises me though to find Chris O’Donnel plays a part.

But Max Payne is mostly about flashing of actions, not really connected. PeopleĀ  shooting, lots of Max Payne’s traumatic event, and something with wings flying fast here and there. The soundtrack have a good pace and give some shoots its reality sound that make the part feel come alive. The plot is guessable, I must say, cliche. Fortunately the leading man doesn’t have to kiss another woman in any usual and predictable scene. The technical part is seriously made. Everything looks quite real.

If you willing to watch an action, but not really an action…something to kill the time or something that give no impact after you watch it…this is an alternative. Just let the questions of why this person show up here, or how he didn’t realize so much clues, fly in the air… don’t try to answer it.

For me it will be 5.5 from 10
